What we store

MusicTheoryGym has no accounts and no database. Your stats, streaks, routines, settings and training plan progress (which lessons you have finished, your chosen schedule and the programs you marked as known) are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. We never receive them. Clearing your browser data removes them, and it means your progress does not follow you to another device or browser.

Search

Search runs entirely in your browser. The site sends you a list of its own pages once, and your search words are matched on your device. What you type is not sent to us or logged.

Microphone and sound

The tuner asks your browser for permission to use the microphone so it can detect pitch. The audio is analysed live on your device. It is never recorded, stored or sent anywhere, and you can revoke the permission in your browser at any time. The other tools play sound generated on your device and need no permission.

Analytics and advertising

Like any website, our hosting infrastructure processes standard request data (such as your IP address) to deliver pages and protect against abuse.

We show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to show and measure ads, including ads based on your earlier visits to this or other sites. Where the law requires it, you are asked for consent first and can change your choice at any time. You can opt out of personalised ads in Google's ad settings, and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. There are no ads inside lessons or drills.

Children

The site is suitable for learners of all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
